I'm really confused!! What's wrong with me??

I have been trying to escape from my thoughts. The thoughts which makes me feel that I'm a failure! The worse of my kind. Ever since you enter my life, I have always thought of you and I just don't know how to explain this kind of feeling that keeps on pestering in my mind. Each and everyday I long for your presence and wanting to know what are you doing? I've always wanted to get close to you but I know that this feeling ain't right! Not long after seeing you, the emotions came running in! I wanna see you smile and all that you have in you! Keep on wanting you to be just beside me all the time and at times being a little jealous when you are with somebody else. But, it seems that I've lost my words when you are around! My mind keeps on picturing you! I just don't know what to do and the only way is to hide myself from this issue! I'm really tired and hoping that I can overcome this feeling! Seriously, what have gone wrong with me??

A Pledge to Mother Earth Says it all~

Let us look into our “deeds towards mother earth” history:

1. Clearing forests for agricultural and industrial purposes.

Effect: Destroying flora and fauna’s sanctuary

2. Littering and dirtying the environment

Effect: Causes garbages and waste products to overflow

3. Open burning and mass cremation

Effect: Green house effect causing global warming

4. Killing of animal species

Effect: Taking unwanted lives causing extinction.

5. Wasting electricity, water and foods

Effect: Declining of Mother Nature’s resources.

WHAT HAVE WE ALL DONE?? Damages after damages are the only things we contribute to the earth. We, as the human being, the intelligent species, the inhabitants of the earth has done all these. (Failing to God’s calling purposes). Shame on us all!

Our mother earth is really in a very adverse condition and we should now be aware and do whatever best to save Mother Earth! Eventually, we are now racing against time and what we can only do is to prevent further damages cause, as the saying goes: “Prevention is better than cure!” Make a simple Green pledge to commit ourselves for environmental conservation is what we need!!

GREEN PLEDGE FOR MOTHER EARTH:

I hereby, Aaron Yeo pledge to commit myself into environmental conservation and do whatever it takes to save Mother Earth with all my truthfully effort. I understand that I have been greatly contributing to some damaging towards Mother Earth and I am regretful in doing so. I am also making the decision to stay away from negative activities that may harm you in the means of global warming. Below are the things I have agreed to contribute and act in respect to environmental conservation for the betterment of our Mother Earth.

(i) Turn the lights off whenever I am not using it to conserve electricity.

(ii) Avoiding usage of plastic bags and do an exchange of using GREEN or reusable bag.

(iii) Cut down on usage of papers and tissues if unnecessary.

(iv) Turn off the tap and cut down on the use of water.

(v) Switch to using fans instead of air-cond.

(vi) Recycle, recycle and recycle aluminum cans, papers and glass bottles that are recyclable to promote the 3R action.

(vii) Educate and create awareness to people around me for environmental conservation and recycling.

I agree to every statement above and agree to uphold the true GREEN spirit to help conserve our Mother Earth for a better future. In advance, I would promise to bring my commitment with me until the day I retire from God’s calling purpose.

A quick glance into Chrismas Celebrations

Christmas is celebrated widely in every corner of the world and it is the season of love and joy. It falls on the 25th of December every year to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is also the time for families to have fellowship among themselves. On that day, Christmas carols and greetings bathe the atmosphere, even the dingling of church bells, bright-lit decorations and adorable Christmas trees join in to add their touch on a Christmas day. Simply magical!

Christmas celebration back down here
For me, Christmas always gives me the serenity and also the peace within me, the unseen happiness and also celebrations! I usually spend my time in church on a Christmas day and it is the routine for me every year. On the night of Christmas eve, I enjoy spending my time watching Christmas programs shown on the television.I guess that's the best way to build up the Christmas spirit inside me! Of course I do spend time with my family members eating a nice Christmas dinner and that's where all the nice stuffs comes in. Instead of roasted turkey, we did an exchange for a plate of Spaghetti Bolognaise, fried chicken wings, smashed potatoes and grape juices for all.

On the day of Christmas, early in the morning, my family goes to church for Christmas service. It is not the usual scene in church like every Sunday because the church is heavy decorated with Christmas items which gives the building a Christmas touched atmosphere.
Everyone in the church will dress themselves beautifully too and sometimes we would wear according to the "Christmas Colour- Red and Green". It is indeed an awesome scene seeing everyone dressing in the same colour. During the service, as usual we would sing some Christmas Hymns. On that day, we would also have choir singing and some performances and nativity dramas. After that, our pastor will have sharings and we would have a gathering after the service. Very often it will be held in the church and we will together enjoy our food that is laid on the table. After spending half of my day in church, I will have my own free time and that is when I can do whatever I want, like going for shopping and watching movies etc. That's how I celebrate my Christmas day.

Now let us open the gateway to other countries and discover their way of celebrating their Christmas day.

Christmas celebration in Italy
The Christmas season is three-weeks long in Italy. It starts at Novena that falls eight days before Christmas. During the holiday season, the shepherds play musical instruments and sing Christmas songs in the villages. Children collect in groups dress up as shepherds, play pipes and recite Christmas poems and sing Christmas songs door to door. In return, they receive money to buy presents. There is a strict 24-hour fast observed before Christmas Eve, which is followed by a special celebration meal that features chocolate and a light Milanese cake called Panetoni. On Christmas day, crowds gather in the huge Vatican Square by noon, where the Pope blesses them. Italian children receive their gifts on Epiphany or 6th of January, which are delivered by the ugly but kindly witch called Befana, who flies around on a broomstick.

Christmas celebration in India
In India, Christians decorate banana or mango trees, light small oil-burning lamps to decorate their homes and used red flowers to decorate their churches. Indians give Christmas gifts to friends and family and 'baksheesh' or charity to the poor.

Christmas celebration in Ethopia
Ethiopian Christmas is known as Ganna. It is celebrated on 7th of January. Christmas celebrations take place both in ancient churches carved from solid volcanic rock and modern churches designed in three concentric circles. Men and boys are made to sit separately from girls and women and the choir sings from the outside circle. Candles are given to people as they enter the church. They light the candles, then walk three times around the church and stand throughout the mass, which may take as long as three hours.
Traditional Christmas dish includes Injera, a sourdough pancake like bread, which serves as both plate and fork along with Doro Wat, a spicy chicken stew served in ornamented baskets.

Christmas celebration in Portugal
Portuguese burn Cepo de Natal or the Christmas log, which is a piece of oak that burns on the hearth all through the day on Christmas. On 5th of January or Epiphany Eve, children keep their shoes along windowsills and doorways and fill them with carrots and straw to lure the horses of the Three Wise Men to their household during the night.

Christmas celebration in Switzerland
Christkindli, an angel in white robes and veiled face and a jeweled crown, arrives with silver bells tinkling to announce it, in all the homes in Switzerland on Christmas. As he enters the house, people light candles on the tree and then, he hands out presents. Presents are kept in a basket held by the angel's child helpers. A week before Christmas, children go home-to-home with small gifts, in their best festive dresses. Tradition of ringing bells has almost become a competition and cillages ring loudly to call the parishioners to Midnight Mass. After the service, huge doughnuts called Ringli and hot chocolate are shared in family gatherings.

It's really a different scene and event happening around the globe during Christmas with different cultures and celebration! Hope u enjoy my sharing..

The most overwhelming day

Overwhelmed till I'm wordless when talking about NIKE! Today is indeed one of the greatest day of my life- the day I bought my first ever NIKE shoes.. It can be breathtaking sometimes to just look at the elegant "tick" on the NIKE shoes. (I'm an huge ardent supporter of NIKE) Really, nothing can brings it down. Not only that, it bring confidence to the person who wears it, as the slogan of the brand says "Just do It!". Never doubt, just bring out your self-confident and do whatever it takes to gain victory..

What does "Nike" mean?
Nike is the Greek goddess of victory. according to legend, in the battle of marathon, the winners sent a messenger back to their hometown and it was 26 miles. that's where the marathon comes from. the messenger was so exhausted when he got there that he said one word: Nike! which also means victory in Greek, and then died from dehydration and exhaustion.

NIKE= VICTORY! =)

A friendship poem

A friend is like a flower,
a rose to be exact,
Or maybe like a brand new gate
that never comes unlatched.
A friend is like an owl,
both beautiful and wise.
Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost,
whose spirit never dies.
A friend is like a heart that goes
strong until the end.
Where would we be in this world
if we didn't have a friend. - By Emma Guest

A new task- Blogging the alpha's way

New task?(That is a 'NO' for me!) Actually I already have my own previous account, that's why! Our English teacher, Mdm. Flowrese assigned all 43 of us (5 Alpha)to create a blog . To be honest, I really appreciated writing on blogs and I definitely agree that everyone should have one too~(just consider me as an enthusiastic amateur on blogging.)Everyone was busy tapping on the keyboard during the whole English period to just create a blog of their own. The whole atmosphere is bathe with desperation and excitement as all of my friends are creating and trying real hard to beautify their profiles. As I had already have one of my own, I was bored of waiting so I finally came to a final decision to "Re-create" one. I found out that many feel some ambivalence in updating their own blog. The good feeling about writing a blog is that you can share your lifetime experience and interesting events occurred, while in oppose to that, there is also bad feeling that is you may over-write your personal stuffs and making others to get to know the "evil and naughty" character of yours. (You would never wanted Mr.Santa to black-list you right?) It is indeed a tough job in designing your own blog! I was endeavoured to do my best, that is to come out with a good post and extraordinary layouts for my own blog. The choosing of templates was the most crucial and torturing moment because most of the layouts are awesomely beautiful and it brought me a headache! Anyway,it is really interesting as I continue on updating my blogs.. As people always says "Blogging keeps the world goes round!"

A point of a new beginning

It is indeed a new beginning for me to create a new blog of my own and to say goodbyes to the old one.. As they always says: "A new year- a new beginning of things!" ( Eventhough sometimes it doesn't work that way) A refreshing experience to put all my thoughts into words, again. Well, it will be more memorable if I spend a little time of my own to write things on my blog about the happenings around me than rather keeping everything within me. (Although I'm have no true avid interest in writing blogs.) But, sometimes it can be rather bored and lazy to write something on my blog (Absolutely true!) and it is proven from my previous blog. I hope that I have an auto update-authorizer to help me post things up. But, that's only an "if". Anyway, I'll cut down the crap and start doing my actual tasks that the teacher had assigned us to do. I'll try my best to update my blog more often. ( I'm doubting on this too.) =)
